Hadeda Luge
Porcelain Clay Sculptures
(H) 25cm x (W) 35cm x (D) 20cm
Hadeda Luge is a playful yet uncanny porcelain sculpture that blurs the line between fantasy, memory, and domestic folklore. A reclining figure with vivid red hair lounges atop a makeshift sled, pulled not by dogs or horses but by two hadeda birds whose oversized feet and expressive forms lend the work a dreamlike absurdity. Accompanied by a small canine companion, the figure appears suspended between leisure and journey, control and surrender. Through its glossy surface and deliberately exaggerated proportions, the sculpture explores themes of companionship, eccentricity, and the unexpected relationships that emerge between humans and animals in imagined worlds.
